January 6th ~ 10th

The snow is sparkly and beautiful, but I am already looking forward to warmer spring weather. We are getting back into our normal routines as we look toward the end of the 2nd quarter next Friday. It is hard to believe that we are almost half way through this school year.

Our school Geography Bee will be held this Friday at 1:30 in the gym. We had four sixth graders from our class who qualified. Quinn Sanderson, Cannon Krueger, Cameron Leo, and Garrett Dostal will be representing our room. Way to go guys!! The winner from our school will then participate in the county Geography Bee.

Social Studies ~
The sixth graders are working on reports and projects about an Egyptian god or goddess they selected. The kids have a lot of freedom regarding the project portion, but most of this will be done at home. The report portion will be completed primarily in class. The final reports and projects are due next Thursday, the 16th.
Science ~
Sixth graders will complete an Investigation Review from last Friday and we will conduct a hands-on experiment testing liquids to determine if they are acidic or basic.

We will play a variety of board games with our kindergarten buddies on Tuesday and Mrs. Tatum will teach a counseling lesson in our room on Wednesday.
Have a fantastic week!
